1
Roll a 6 to come outYour four tokens start in your yard. A 6 brings one out onto your start square, and a 6 always gives you another roll.
2
Race round the boardMove a token by the number you roll, once round the board and up your own coloured lane. Getting home takes the exact number.
3
Cut your rivalsLand on another player’s token to send it back to their yard. Tokens on the star and start squares are safe.
4
Get all four homeThe first player with all four tokens home wins.
Modes and house rules
The host picks these before the game starts.
QuickThe first player to get just one token home wins. Good for a short game.
TimedPlay for 5, 10 or 15 minutes. You score for every square moved, every cut and every token home. Most points wins.
TeamsFour players in two teams, partners sitting opposite. The first team to get all eight tokens home wins.
Come out on a 6 or a 1A 1 brings a token out of the yard, as well as a 6.
Safe squaresNobody can be cut on a star or a start square. Switch it off for a rougher game.
Three 6sRoll a 6 three times in a row and the third one is lost: your turn ends there.
Cut before homeYour tokens can’t go up your home lane until you’ve cut someone. Until then, they go round again.
Turn timer15, 20 or 30 seconds a turn, or off. Run out of time and your move is made for you.
